Admission Procedure

Admissions at Thanthai Periyar Evera Matriculation School are open to all children irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. The process is transparent, systematic, and designed to identify the learning potential of every child.

Issue of Application Form

Admission forms are available at the school office during working hours. Parents or guardians must fill out the form carefully with accurate details.

Submission of Application

The completed form, along with the required documents, should be submitted to the school office within the given time frame. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Confirmation of Admission

Selected students will be intimated through the school office. Parents must complete the fee payment and submit the original certificates to confirm the admission.

Orientation for Parents

An orientation meeting will be conducted to familiarize parents with school rules, academic systems, and co-curricular activities.

Interaction / Entrance Test

  • For LKG & UKG, admission is based on a personal interaction with the child and parent.
  • For Classes I – VIII, a written entrance assessment in English, Tamil, and Mathematics may be conducted to assess grade readiness.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pre-KG: The child should have completed 2 years and 6 months on or before 31st March of the academic year.
  • LKG: The child should have completed 3 years and 6 months on or before 31st March.
  • UKG: The child should have completed 4 years and 6 months on or before 31st March.
  • Class I: The child should have completed 5 years and 6 months on or before 31st March.
  • For Classes II to VIII, admission is based on the Transfer Certificate and satisfactory performance in the entrance evaluation.
  • Note: Admission to any class is subject to seat availability and performance in the entrance evaluation.

Documents Required

Parents are requested to produce the following documents at the time of admission:

  • Original Birth Certificate (for verification) and a photocopy to be submitted.
  • Transfer Certificate (T.C.) from the previous school (for Class II and above).
  • Community Certificate (for statistical purposes).
  • Recent Passport-size Photographs of the student – 3 copies.
  • Aadhar Card copy of the student and parent/guardian.
  • Progress Report / Mark Sheet from the previous school (if applicable).
  • Medical Fitness Certificate (if required).
  • Address Proof of parent/guardian.

All documents submitted must be authentic and verifiable. Any discrepancy found at a later stage will lead to cancellation of admission.

Fee Rules

  • All fees must be paid on or before the due date specified by the school.
  • Term fees are payable thrice a year – June, October, and January.
  • Fees once paid will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.
  • Delay in payment may attract a fine or lead to suspension of the student’s attendance until payment is cleared.
  • Parents are encouraged to retain the fee receipt for future reference.
  • Fees can be paid at the school office counter during working hours.

Withdrawal Policy

  • Parents seeking a Transfer Certificate (T.C.) must submit a written application at least 15 days in advance.
  • All dues, including tuition and term fees, must be cleared before the T.C. is issued.
  • The original fee receipt and ID card must be submitted along with the application.
  • T.C. will be issued only after approval from the school management.
